My generation, who first went to school in the early eighties, will certainly
recognize these and will probably smilingly remember this carefree period. At
that time there was no talk of Spider Man, Cars or some other hype. We went
to school carrying very plain and simple satchels with metal click fasteners
and back straps, maybe brightened up by a reflector. I often think back to this
beautiful period with a pang of nostalgia.
I would like to transfer this feeling to the kids of our generation. That's why I've kept the idea of these old school satchels, but created them in wool felt instead of leather. The simplicity and yet beautiful properties of this material make an unique product. A retro school satchel with a wink at yesterday.
These satchels are not only perfect for pre-schoolers but also for first- and second-graders. 
Even though we don't want to overload our small children, the satchels should be roomy enough. The sizes I used are 31 x 25 x 8 cm (or roughly 12 x 10 x 3 inches). They all have a hand grip and adjustable soft shoulder straps, not to forget those nostalgic click fasteners of course!
As for now, these school satchels can be delivered in the following colors: fuchsia, warm red, turquoise, cornflower blue, lime green, charcoal grey, chocolate. Just have a look at the color chart.
Retro-loving adults, don't despair! This past weekend, at the art fair in Ghent,
we presented these school satchels for the first time. They were a huge success!
The response was so warm and overwhelming that I am now working on a slightly
larger model to house your laptops. 
That way we can all grasp a part of that nostalgic childhood.
By the way, may I introduce you a child of our generation, this cute little boy by the name of Louis? He is the proud bearer of the very first Whoost! retro school satchel.
